Route 1 - 17.50 Km. (easy)
From Salsomaggiore, take state road 359 ("SS 359") road towards Fidenza, bearing right towards Parma at the junction with the provincial ("SP") road towards Tabiano, rising up towards the spa centre of Tabiano Bagni. From Tabiano, follow the road towards Salsomaggiore along a slight rising gradient of 100 m. over 2.2 Km.
Route 2 – 23.7 Km. (easy - intermediate)
From Salsomaggiore take the provincial road (prefixed "SP") towards Fidenza to the junction where the road to Parma diverges. Follow the provincial road to Tabiano Bagni, following the road as far as the junction with the road to Siccomonte. From here, the road rises intermittently for 7.5 Km until Tabiano Castello, located at 300 m. above sea level. Descend towards Tabiano Bagni, before returning to Salsomaggiore along a slight rising gradient of 100 m. over 2.2 Km.
Route 3 – 34.9 Km. (intermediate)
From Salsomaggiore, take the provincial road towards Fidenza to the junction with Parma. Follow the provincial road to the junction for Tabiano Bangi, where you turn left towards the first crossroads. Turn right and head to S. Margherita, before then turning right again to Pieve di Cusignano and Banzola. Continuing, you arrive at a junction at the base of two uphill roads. Bear right and climb up to S. Vittore.
Route 4 – 48.1 Km. (Intermediate)
From Salsomaggiore, take the SS 359 towards Fidenza. After 7 Km., at the junction, turn right towards the junction for Tabiano Bagni. Turn left and, after about 1 Km., turn right towards S. Margherita. After reaching the crossroads within the town, head straight towards Borghetto. Take the two curves descending to the left and enter the road for the powder magazine ("polveriera") of Noceto. After passing these magazines, turn right towards lake Tana, then left towards the junction for S. Tomato. From here, turn right and head straight on until arrival at Varano Marchesi.
After having passed through the town, take the right for Case Mezzadri. The road now rises irregularly and quite steeply, with some sharp hairpins, before levelling off towards the peak. The road then descends for about 3.5 Km. and continues directly for S. Vittore. From here, it's downhill to Salsomaggiore.
Route 5 – 60.5 Km. (intermediate-hard)
From Salsomaggiore head for Scipione Castello. Descent towards Scipione Ponte before turning left towards Pellegrino Parmese, arriving at the junction for Vigoleno. Turn right here and climb up to the castle, before descending to the junction at the bottom of the valley, taking the left turning towards Vernasca. After arriving in the town, head towards Luneto. At the junction turn left towards Pellegrino Parmese, descending towards the town. In the town, turn left towards the S. Antonio pass. This involves a rising gradient for 5.5 Km. to the peak. The subsequent descent is of a similar distance, bringing you to the junction for Grotta. Bear right and head for Contignaco Pič di Via, and then Salsomaggiore.
Route 6 – 72 Km. (hard)
From Salsomaggiore take the SS 359 towards Fidenza, turning right at the junction. Proceed towards the second junction for Tabiano Bagni. Turn left and continue for 1 Km. before turning right for S. Margherita. On reaching the crossroads in the town, head towards Borghetto. Take the two downhill curves to the left towards the Noceto powder magazines. After passing these, turn right towards lake Tana, then left to the junction for S. Tomato, where you turn right. Proceed towards the junction for Varano Marchesi, then take a left. After 300 m. turn right onto the provincial road for Fornovo Taro. Proceed through Medesano, Felegara, Ramiola, and continue to Varano De Melegari. Once through the town, turn right towards Pellegrino Parmese, taking the long climb towards Monte Salso, from which you then descend to Pellegrino Parmese. In the town, turn right towards the S. Antonio (Mille Pini) pass, which involves 5 Km. climb to the peak. From here, you descend a similar distance to the junction for Grotta, keeping right and crossing Contignaco Pič di Via, reaching the entrance of Salsomaggiore from via Milano.
